Biography

Telling Stories with a Single Image

Telagio has been passionate about the visual arts since childhood and considers it a gift from God.

He received a scholarship and developed his skills at the Fine Art Institute, and completed his education at the College of Arts and Crafts.

Telagio’s exceptional skills led him to establish a successful, award-winning graphic design studio in Hawaii, where he operated for 20 years.

Upon returning to his birthplace in Northern California, he wholeheartedly dedicated himself to pursuing his passion for watercolor painting.

Telagio’s paintings blend realism and impressionism, featuring a diverse range of subjects, including people, places, still life, and animals. His work process is characterized by exceptional attention to detail and a strong set of values. He often uses “negative space” to frame his images, allowing his paintings to “breathe” and evoke specific feelings or moods for the viewer to experience.

He resides in Omaha, Nebraska, where he conducts ongoing watercolor workshops and exhibitions throughout the state and in surrounding states. He is recognized as an award-winning Signature Status with the Society of Watercolor Artists and the Rhode Island Watercolor Society, along with others to follow. He has been active in juried shows at the regional, national, and international levels and has also served as a juror.

Telagio continues to capture the spirit in each image, narrating a story that flows from his heart and creative spirit, knowing that his best work is yet to come.
