Patricia Lintner
“Tell Your Story” Totem through Clay, Fabric and Collage
May 25 - May 30
4 Teaching Days
Description
Returning for the 4th year in 2026
A part of creating art comes from our own experiences, history, heritage and our personal unique voice. Colors we like, styles of art that we are drawn to, what feels right to us, and scents or taste that may spark a memory.
In this fun 4-day workshop, we will create stunning totems that you will build upon that will reflect your inspirations, your memories, your creative process and your own unique story. Each piece will be in your style and I will help guide you through the process.
We will create these totems using polymer clay, various fabrics, hand stitching, acrylic paint, collage papers, ephemera, paper made on a gel plate, found objects, and whatever speaks to you!
Exercises will be sent to you prior to the workshop so you are prepared for your artistic adventure. As a bonus, you will also create a piece of wearable art that you can carry with you that will connect with your totem.
I look forward having you join me for this workshop!
Biography
Patricia Lintner has been a mixed media artist for the past 30 years. Her work involves various elements such as rusty metal finds, unusual objects, polymer clay, cold wax and acrylic paint, stitched fabrics and much more.
“I have always loved working with the wabi sabi esthetic. Found objects that are cast aside, or worn and torn, I love giving new life to them in my work. I find beauty in things that are imperfect.”
Patricia has won awards and placed 1st place in the Crossing Arts Alliance event “Salute the Arts” 2019. Patricia’s work has been published in Her Voice 2020 Summer Issue, and was one of 20 international artists that taught a yearlong art tutorial with Mystic Springs Studios Totems and Talisman’s.
She is also a published illustrator for the young teen book “Two Boys and the Rustlers” with Carol Elek. Patricia has taught many workshops in the Minnesota and Wisconsin area over the past 15 years.
