Kristin Peterson
Colorshine and Art Marks
Sep 10 - Sep 15
4 Teaching Days
Description
Join Kristin on a mixed media, paint layered exploration. In this four-day class, we will be playing in a series on various substrates. Colors will be mixed and layered together with our own sense of style while being mindful of our overall composition.
Then, let’s dive deeper into our own art marks and seek further understanding of art supplies we already own. Pencils, pens, crayons, inks, sprays… Let’s drip and dribble over our series and discover the inner child artist. Our pieces will embrace the creative magic as we leave that inner critic at the door.
So, bring along your curiosity and sense of wonderment.
This class is suitable for all experience levels, as we will be walking on the side of permission.
Biography
Kristin Peterson is a third-generation artist, originally from South Dakota. Kristin’s creative passion is inspired and supported by her husband and kids.
Kristin is always exploring and expanding the creative depths of mixed media. She very much enjoys vintage collage work. Kristin loves color and things that have a love-worn comfortable feeling-like an old favorite pair of jeans-coffee stained, patched, painted and well loved. She wants her art to project feeling and make people feel good while looking at it. Her paintings contain vibrance mixed with a little funk, which is sprinkled with discreet sensibility. Her style is meant to make you ponder and smile, just as she does as she paints and creates.
