Sean Dye
Pastel Landscape Essentials

Sep 25 - Sep 30

4 Teaching Days

Description

NEW TO DILLMAN’S IN 2022

Living in the landscape has inspired some of his finest and most beloved artworks. Sean will demonstrate his landscape technique using a mixed-media with pastel. He will discuss salvage techniques as well as framing suggestions. Students will create their own landscape form their own references of mountains, farms, gardens, forests, lakes, rivers or streams. Students should bring their own pastels for the workshop. An 80 stick 1/2 stick landscape set would be a good bet for someone starting out and will provide enough colors for four days of painting. Students may bring in a larger set of pastels to supplement the basic set.

This course will be taught similar to a group private lesson. Participants will work at their own pace. We will have critiques each day as well as a wrap up critique on the final day.

Pastelbords and all other base mediums will be provided.
Please bring landscape sketches or reference photos; this is very important.
