Karen Sako is a dynamic and passionate instructor who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the classroom. With a BFS in Visual Communications from the Illinois Institute of Art and over 30 years of teaching experience, Karen has honed her skills as both an accomplished abstract artist and graphic designer. Her diverse background fuels her unique approach to instruction, allowing her to seamlessly fuse traditional art principles with exploratory techniques and materials. In her artwork, Karen delves into the fascinating world of abstraction, exploring the elusive quality of light and the intricate complexity of nature. Day students are welcome to attend the Welcome Reception and Farewell Reception (included in your package). You are also invited to join the class dinners (additional fee). PAL’s (Participants at large) can vacation at Dillman’s for $40 per night for accommodations. Costs for box lunches and dinners are additional.
