Before the Workshop
Dale will send you an exclusive PDF workbook explicitly designed for this workshop via email. He suggests you print it out and store it in a ring binder. Some of his students then use protective sleeves to preserve the pages, while others upload it to their tablets. The workbook contains the following:
- Reference photos for each demonstration from Dale’s personal library.
- Dale’s pencil drawings for you to replicate before the workshop.
- Value studies.
- The paint colors required for each painting.
- List of additional supplies needed.
- Descriptions of the subjects.
- Techniques that you will use for each demonstration.
- The knowlege “You Will Walk Away With.”
- A page in each section to take notes.
- Recommended reading.
- Additionally, Dale will call to answer any questions you may have before the

Day students are welcome to attend the Welcome Reception and Farewell Reception (included in your package). You are also invited to join the class dinners (additional fee). PAL’s (Participants at large) can vacation at Dillman’s for $40 per night for accommodations. Costs for box lunches and dinners are additional.
