Laura Lein-Svencner
All Elements of Paper and Collage/Collage, Mixed Media and Book Arts

May 21 - May 27

5 Teaching Days

Description

Returning for the 11th year in 2022

This workshop will start off with creating your own unique collage papers from repurposed sources. We progress into collage stages of awareness. Our first project will be a Collage Meditation Pocketbook. Staying small we will move into Mixed Media Mini’s and then into Small Block Composition, which allows us the capacity to learn about creating a series. The papers that are left over will nicely fall into place with a “One Artist’s Journal.” These little journals can be made for special events or daily use. There are many surfaces we will be exploring, part of this workshop will have you using a heat seal iron to adhere your papers, other parts will have you stitching with waxed book threads. Full of high energy and guaranteed to inspire more ideas of inspiration within the realms of paper and collage.

Four Art Projects in this workshop:

  • Collage Meditation Pocketbook
  • Mixed Media Mini’s
  • Small Block Composition
  • One Artist’s Journal
