Bike Trail ideas:
- BATS - Crystal Lake Trail Apx. 12 miles from Dillman’s to trail head
The gently rolling B.A.T.S. - Crystal Lake Trail (Boulder Junction Area Trail System) lets bicyclists enjoy all
the scenic beauty without any of the traffic hassles on the county highways. It starts in Boulder Junction and is 13 miles one way,
passing by Trout Lake and Crystal Lake. Free parking and a beautiful trail.
- Bearskin Trail Apx. 15 miles from Dillman’s to trail head
This 18-mile railbed trail offers a packed granite gravel surface for biking. Excellent birding as the trail transects varied habitats, hardwoods, bogs, old-field,
marsh and springs, and trout stream. The south end of the trail is especially productive. Numerous trestles and boardwalks provide viewing stops and fascinating interpretive
signage. The trail begins right outside of downtown Mincoqua. There is plenty of parking and many retail stores and restaurants near by.
- Lac du Flambeau Attractions
You can leave directly from Dillman’s and bike many local attractions, including the Tribal Fish Hatchery, the Ojibwe Museum and
Cultural Center, and Waswagoning (recreated Indian village).
- The Discovery Center Apx. 15 miles from Dillman’s to trail head
The Discovery Center has 20km for mountain biking. The terrain is gentle and winds through the woods, along the lake,
bog and nearby Manitowish River. This trail allows you to explore a variety of habitats, plants and animals.
