Hopkins Center for the Arts and Dillman’s Creative Arts Foundation (DCAF) of Lac du Flambeau, WI (250 miles from Minneapolis) will join together to offer a Fun and Free Evening of art filled entertainment on March 5, 2010 at the Hopkins Art League. Instructors from Dillman’s Creative Arts Foundation will be providing demonstrations and slide shows plus their art will be for sale. Enjoy the complimentary hospitality table. Invite your friends and art league members to car pool with you.

This will be the 33rd year Dillman’s Creative Arts Foundation has offered 3, 4 and 5 day workshops all on the lakeside resort location in Wisconsin plus exciting ports of call abroad. View our 2010 schedule of workshops for more information. On Friday, March 5, some of the finest instructors will be coming to Hopkins for this fun evening of art.

Friday’s Mid Winter Festival which starts at 4PM and continues until 8PM, is a free event that include well known artists presenting complimentary hour long demonstrations in their chosen medium, such as, watercolor, pastel, oil, acrylic and carving. In addition there will be a silent auction of prints and original art work, artist’s books, and videos by internationally known artists plus hourly door prizes. The proceeds of the auction will be awarded as scholarships to the northern Wisconsin art workshops. Applications are available online

Ongoing discussions with artists and instructors can be mixed in with the demonstrations. You may view original paintings, reproductions, and slide shows of 2010 Dillman’s Creative Arts Foundation instructors. In addition there is a reduced rate for the northern Wisconsin workshop for those who register on site. For the PAL (Participant at Large) there will be information about the full service amenities to include, biking tours, fishing, and area attractions. Art work will be available for sale.
