Mid-Winter Festival of Artists Dillman’s Creative Arts Foundation (DCAF) of Lac du Flambeau, WI (350 miles north of Chicago’s downtown) joins with area hosts to bring complimentary events to artists and friends to the Chicago, Minneapolis and South Florida areas. These events, co-hosted by the Hopkins Center for the Arts (Hopkins, MN), DuPage Art League (Wheaton, IL), Ocean Reef Art League (Key Largo, Fl ), Blick Art Materials, and Dillman’s Mid Winter Festivals are free half-day events that include well known artists presenting complimentary hour long demonstrations in their chosen medium, such as, watercolor, pastel, oil, acrylic and carving. In addition some festivals have a silent auction of prints and original art work, artist’s books, and videos by internationally known artists plus hourly door prizes. The proceeds of the auction will be awarded as scholarships to the northern Wisconsin art workshops. Applications are available online
