DILLMAN’S CREATIVE ARTS FOUNDATION PRESENTS
Paint Northern and Southern Italy with Rose Edin
Sixteen days (March 27-April 11) on the Amalfi Coast and Umbria/Tuscany/Venice with
internationally known watercolor instructor, Rose Edin (April 4-11)
Southern Italy Experience: March 27-April 4, 2012
Northern Italy Experience: April 4-11, 2012 (no instruction)
Enchanting, unique, elegant, incredible, breathtaking, memorable, inspiring - these are some of the words painters have used to describe la Costieria Amalfitana (the Amalfia Coast) seemingly suspended between sea and sky. Each perfectly preserved village, spilling down steep cliffs to the azure sea, has its own special charm and personality. Poets describe it as having its head in the clouds and its feet in the sea! It is in this beautiful setting that we will be plein air painting for a whole week this coming March.
With an emphasis on color, instruction is given on site each day. Evenings before dinner Rose will usually have demonstrations and there will be a time for critiques of the work of the day. With the inspiration of the day, our critiques, and the sharing of our work, students will be truly inspired to create.
Rose Edin, NWS, TWSA, is a veteran plein air painter who has conducted art trips internationally for over 30 years. Her recent awards include first place in the animal division of Artist Magazine's 2011 International Competition and a major award at the American Watercolor Society annual show in New York City.
