Have you ever wished you could find a way to paint realistic glass and reflections in watercolor? If so, this workshop is for you. All levels are welcome. This fun and simplified method of painting glass objects will give you the skills you need to paint amazing still life glass paintings. You can opt to work on your own still life objects or, if you prefer, I will supply ½ sheet sketches for transfer to watercolor paper and you can paint the same subject along with me. Finding the value shapes in glass is a main focus of this workshop. There will be several short demos throughout the day with lots of painting time for participating artists. I promise you will leave this fun and informative class with new techniques and a newfound excitement for painting with watercolor!
Originally from New York, Laurie now lives in West Virginia. She has been painting watercolors for the last 16 years. Laurie continues to experiment with new techniques in watercolor and watercolor/acrylic. She has exhibited her work in the U.S., Japan, Turkey, Canada and China. Her work has been published in Watercolor Artist Magazine, Splash 13, Splash 14 and will be included in Splash 18. Currently, she travels and teaches workshops across the United States. While her main focus is portraits, she also paints cityscapes and still life.
