Fiber Art goes dimensional during this 4-day experience. Students need not be familiar with needle art to participate in this medium. Attendees will explore 3D techniques using both wet and dry felting methods including needle and resist strategies. Felting over rocks, glass gems, stone or glass cabochons for a multitude of applications including jewelry, surface textures and objects of embellishment. Larger felt forms will also be explored such as, vessels, bowls, vases and hats. Solid form felting techniques resulting in baubles, beads, ropes, toggles and balls. Felting over armatures and found objects for jewelry, accessories and curious objects. Tammy will teach through demos and student sampling continuing on to work with each individual at their skill level towards realizing works aligned with their personal vision, taste and interest. A minimum expectation at the end of the session would be 4 to 5 (complete or near complete) sculptural ArtWear/ArtWork pieces.
