Learn how a sketch can be complete in itself, or a road map to larger studio paintings. Sharpen your observation skills, color awareness and learn simple design principles. We will explore fun and exciting ways to be expressive with sketched images and words. Learn the artistic process of merging words and images together on a page. Whether you want to improve your watercolor skills, create travel journals or take that next step as an artist you'll come away from this workshop excited and inspired about your artwork. Explore the charm of watercolor in a friendly and encouraging environment and a sketchbook uniquely your own. Benefit from daily demos, friendly critiques, and lots of one on one help.  

Brenda the artist author of two books, Keeping a Watercolor Sketchbook (Award of Excellence Finalist) and Steps to Success in Watercolor. Her paintings and sketches have been featured in Splash 11, 12 & 14, An Illustrated Journal, Creative Freedom, Artistic Touch 4, Watercolor Artist, Watercolor Magazine, Watercolor Highlights, and numerous other publications. Brenda has been awarded signature membership in WW, NWWS, SDWS and she has won several awards for her paintings. An active participant in the arts community she has served on the board of directors for the National Watercolor Society and Watercolor West. She is in demand to demonstrate and teach her painting and sketching techniques to groups nationwide and abroad.

Day students are welcome to attend the Welcome Reception and Farewell Reception (included in your package). You are also invited to join the class dinners (additional fee). PAL’s (Participants at large) can vacation at Dillman’s for $50 per night for accommodations. Costs for box lunches and dinners are additional.
