Bonnie Paruch      Sept 2–7, 2012 (Four Teaching Days)
People & Places: Adding Life to Landscape

Bonnie Paruch ArtworkLearn how to "see" and paint the landscape as you want it to appear. You will explore how light affects color and value and will practice using a three value system that takes the mystery out of landscape painting. You will develop on-site landscape painting skills by creating small plein air studies that emphasize dynamic shapes, powerful design, and bold flowing brush work. One day a model will be used to introduce the figure into an environment. You will learn how capture the gesture and essence of a figure in a way that enhances the narrative qualities of your paintings. Working from life in a variety of exciting Northwood's settings, you will be stimulated by the wonderful resort environment.

With daily demonstrations and gentle critiques Bonnie will help you develop your own unique and personal form of expression. This class is open to all levels and all *mediums (* with instructor approval).
