Maggie Mc Clellan     Sept 11-16, 2011 (Four Teaching Days)
Secrets of the Obedient Brush

The knowledge of structure, composition, color, value and subject matter make up the toolbox we use every day to create our paintings. These are the gateways to making a dynamic visual experience. Giving artists the gift of creative growth and/or renewal, personal expansion, freedom of self-discovery and the ability to break new ground technically and pictorially is Maggie’s sole objective. This workshop will cover the importance of learning surface verses structure. You will study design elements and compositional shapes, dominance and harmony, and value in reference to color. Learn and practice styles including loose verses detailed while working with different moods (palette choices). You may work in any medium.
