Capturing the Light
New to Dillman’s

Good use of light and shadow can transform a painting from ordinary to extraordinary. Using a limited palette of mainly transparent watercolors and a variety of subject matter, students will learn to understand light source, the shadows they create and the effect this has on the composition and outcome of your painting. In addition students will learn techniques of working with transparent layers to create luminous color and rich depth. Lynn will provide handouts, reference materials, and a lot of individual attention.
