Concept Development: How to Create Unique and Meaningful Art
New to Dillman's
www.kacartwright.com
All great paintings begin with a great concept! This 5-day workshop is designed to help painters at all ability levels learn how to create meaningful and unique art. Learn how to escape the ordinary by painting the extraordinary! Learn how to escape imitation and by being original! Kathy works closely with you in a process that begins with concept development and the construction of a working thesis. She then demonstrates how to use a thesis to create a series of paintings that is uniquely meaningful, technically consistent and masterful. You may work in any medium. Daily instruction is followed by student engagement in this think – write – paint – share workshop.
Kathy teaches with warmth, humor, enthusiasm, and insight. As an experienced teacher and award-winning artist, she is able to help you develop and improve technical skills in painting as well as concept development. This workshop provides painters in all mediums with the necessary tools required to create great art!
Kathy is an inducted member of the National Association of Women Artists, and a Signature Member of the North East Watercolor Society and the Missouri Watercolor Society. She received formal academic training in fine art at The Maryland Institute of Art, The College of Charleston, and Kutztown University. She has over thirty years of teaching experience, has won dozens of awards, and her work is included in nearly one hundred private and corporate collections. Kathy is listed in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, Who’s Who in America, and Who’s Who of American Women.
