Luminous Color with Underpainting and Glazing
Returning for the 2nd year in 2010
www.janejonesartist.com
Luminous color! As artists we are so quickly attracted and entertained by color. It’s the focus of our lives! In this workshop you will learn how to paint using the Old Masters technique of underpainting and glazing with oils. You will learn how to create a successful underpainting so that your painting will glow as if it is lit from within. Then you will glaze gorgeous transparent layers of color over the underpainting to will create jewel-like colors. You will work on, and possibly complete, three paintings. Drawings and reference photos are provided so you can get right into painting! If you want great detail and realism in your work, along with luminous color, then this is a technique that you will love.
This is a great class for beginners, and offers a gorgeous result for more advanced painters who want to learn a new technique. Instructor demonstrations, along with individual instruction and critiques will be used to teach the painting process.
