Color Emphasis-Acrylic with some Collage on Paper and Canvas
Returning for the 9th year in 2010
The primary focus of Carrie’s workshop will be to explore the full potential of acrylic paint as a transparent, translucent, opaque water medium. Emphasis will be working with color families in order for you to obtain unity and harmony in your work. You will be encouraged to explore your own interest in either realistic or abstract forms. Originality and creativity are most important. The workshop will include demos, individual help and critiques. You should bring landscape drawings or photos which will serve as a base for a design approach and develop individually. Carrie strongly believes in incorporating the elements of nature into her work. Inspired by the forms, patterns, shapes, color and textures found in our everyday lives, you will express your own creativity through collage.
