Mix It Up: Creating
Dimension in Paintings and Collage
Returning for the 3rd year
This workshop is designed as a follow up to “Stretching the Limits with
Collage.” The purpose of this class is to apply what you have learned
and begin the process of integrating all of the techniques and skills that
you have acquired to strengthen your painting ability, and develop your own
expressive style. Annie will demonstrate a number of monotype methods, as well
as layering techniques, and methods for achieving dimension to abstract forms.
Students will be encouraged to identify and strengthen their personal visual
styles through instruction on how to create unity in meaningful design formats.
Daily demos and class input will combine in an atmosphere where alternative
strategies are explored. All formats of artistic expression from realistic
to non-objective are welcomed in this workshop. We all have a lot to learn
from each other!
