Returning for the 2nd year to Dillman’s
Join Brenda in this exciting workshop where you will work to captivate light
and pull the extraordinary out of the ordinary through the use of light and
color. Brenda truly loves realism and you will work on new techniques to improve
composition, light, shadows, color, contrast and depth. Bring your favorite
photos, and Brenda will show you how to convert those photos into beautiful
works of art. You have the option of working in either oils or pastels. She
will be working in both to share her secrets for capturing a likeness with
hands on demonstrations and individual instruction. Learn to express yourself
with detail and color. This workshop is jam packed with instruction and fun
to help you improve your painting style.
Brenda enjoys a variety of subject matters including portraits, animals, floral
and landscapes from all over the world. She especially enjoys capturing a candid
moment, finding it allows her to alternate and take a break from a painting
should the need arise. Teaching allows Brenda to meet people and travel, two
things she enjoys as much as painting.
Brenda is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America. She is Exhibition
Chairperson for the International Association of Pastel Societies. She has
worked in oil and pastels for over 20 years and has taught workshops nationally
and internationally. She has the ability to work in all different subject matter.
Her work has been featured in many artists' publications. Come spend five days
of painting what you love and enjoy a relaxing, fun time.
