Lee Kromschroeder      May 25 – 31, 2008 (Five Teaching Days)
Multi Media Realism in Nature and Wildlife

We will start with a critique of each student’s work (they should bring at least one or two originals or slides). This is important because it allows me to see the strengths and weaknesses of each student and tailor my instruction to their needs. The students will also learn constructively critique their own work. Next I will show slides of wildlife subjects and landscape references including different paintings shown in progression allowing students to see the development of a painting that might have taken weeks to paint. I will also have a number of paintings at different stages of development to demonstrate on while continually providing individual guidance to students who bring in a “work in progress” in their medium of choice. Additional instruction will be provided on field painting and sketches, and (if the conditions allow it) we will do some field work outside.
