2008 (4 Teaching Days) www.mariecummings.net Marie will help you along your artistic journey with an out side the box perspective. She will show you many experimental ways to make texture, which can be used in both abstract and representational work. Her focus will be on composition and design. Marie’s teaching method is intuitive, helping you reach beyond your comfort level. Each day, Marie will present an idea that you may decide to incorporate into your painting. She will be available for you during the entire time to discuss your work with you. She will start each day with a demo from which you will learn to apply these techniques to your own painting. She’ll show you how to take an unfinished painting and turn it into a new painting. A former student said “I enjoyed your class immensely and you have encouraged and inspired me to do a little art each day. You have such a joi d'art and it is contagious!” Marie is an experimental water media artist and instructor. Her paintings are shown internationally and she currently resides in the Catskill Mountains, New York. Studio: Something for all levels.
Workshop’s itinerary Monday – Thursday 6/16–6/19 Tuesday 6/17 Thursday 6/19 Friday 6/20 Day students are welcome to attend the Welcome Reception and Farewell Reception (included in your package). You are also invited to join the class for breakfasts and dinners (additional fee). PAL’s (Participants at large) can vacation at Dillman’s
for $300, includes accommodations. Costs for breakfasts, dinners and receptions
are additional.
