Pat Weaver FWS, GWS     June 10 – 15, 2007 (Four Teaching Days)
Expressive Watercolor

Pat’s approach to painting in watercolor is direct and spontaneous. She has a great passion and love for the watercolor medium and imparts this to those that attend her classes. She is very capable of painting and teaching any subject matter. Pat will give individual attention to each student, inspiring them to strive to reach their goals in painting. Students will leave the workshop with new found knowledge, a clearer understanding of how to handle the watercolor medium, as well as drawing, design and composition, limited palettes, value painting and direct painting without drawing. Pat will introduce students to painting on Ampersand Textured Watercolor Board as well as creative uses for watercolor pencils. Students will work from photographs and still life setups. Any subject matter may be painted in this class.

Pat’s book, “Watercolor Simplified”, published by North Lights in 2003 has been so well received that she will be doing another book in the near futures. A video titled, “Watercolor Simplified” is also available through North Light. Pat is also in the following publications: “The Watercolorist’s Answer Book”, “Cats and Dogs, 2007”, “Splash 7” and the new “Splash 9, 2006”.
