Loosen Up With Aquamedia Painting

New to Dillman’s
This highly energized painting workshop emphasizing loose and creative experimentation.
Expect an intense, concentrated and lively workshop where you will create many
works of art using spontaneity for maximum effect. It’s Like 4 Years
of Art School! In just a few days you will know more than most artists about
color, composition and your painting intentions. Burridge’s popular “Loosen
Up” workshop nurtures individual success and personal enrichment with
a big emphasis on daily painting projects at your own pace. It is stress-free,
but be warned; you could end up with too much enthusiasm for painting. Burridge’s
flagship workshop offers a variety of painting subjects for everyone. This
workshop is designed for the professional painter who is stuck in a style,
as well as for the novice who wants to conquer their fear of painting.
Starting
with small 6”x9” multiple warm-up painting exercises
up to larger-format paintings, Burridge’s positive approach towards the
act of painting will inspire you to loosen up, have fun again and paint more!
His critiques are famous for “how to look at your own work” and “where
do I go from here?” This workshop has become a must for artists who want
the confidence and permission to paint the way they have always wanted to paint.
Students will take home preprinted notes of useful and need-to-know information.
A positive attitude is a must! Burridge’s newest color wheel technique
is also included.
Robert Burridge leads an exciting and lively career with an
impressive resume of credits to his name: He is the first artist featured on
Starbuck’s
Commuter Mugs; the Official Artist for the 2001 Sausalito Art Festival-- his
image, “Party of the Arts” was selected as the top festival
poster of the year by Sunshine Artist Magazine. As the Official Pearl Vodka
Artist, his “Three Cheers America” is featured on the hang tags
of every bottle. Burridge has just completed his 4th label for Pearl. Named
by the LA Times as one of California’s “Top Ten Emerging Artists”,
Robert is a winner of the prestigious Philadelphia Water Color Society Crest
Medal, previously won by Georgia O’Keeffe, Andrew Wyeth and Pablo Picasso.
Locally his work appears on two billboards on US Highway 101, touting the local
wine country. Hollywood has become another avenue for Bob; he has created 12
huge abstract paintings for a film “Dean Quixote,” and he is working
on illustrating a book written by one of the directors of the TV show “Just
Shoot Me.”
Burridge was honored as the 1st Place Award winner for his
Abstract paintings at the prestigious “Affair in the Gardens,” in
Beverly Hills, California. Burridge exhibits his work in San Francisco, Sedona,
Raleigh, Mendocino, Maui, Australia and on Cruise Ships.
About his style of
painting, Bob says “Art should be an uplifting experience
and celebration of all that’s wonderful about life and its quirkiness!”
