Louise Lundin    September 17 – 23, 2006 (Five Teaching Days)
Portraits and Figures in Watercolor

Louise willingly shares her love of painting portraits and figures in watercolor, inspiring her fellow painters to greater heights. During her demos, you’ll learn how Louise draws lines that dance and paints colors that sing. You will enjoy Louise’s gentle humor as she shares her painting secrets and carefully explains her “moves” and “counter-moves” while executing a painting. Together you’ll explore the nuances of drawing and painting faces and features and the figure, from life and from photos. Louise encourages exploration of the beautiful qualities and transitions of watercolor application to create luminous flesh tones, avoid mud, develop compositions, and garner the essences of the human form. If you are seeking to re-charge your creative batteries, this is the class for you. Louise is known, not only for her skill at rendering portraits and figures, but for her ability to truly teach, to involve the class in discussion, and to encourage painters.
