Family Art Week     August 5 – 12, 2006 (Five Teaching Days)
Get Closer to Your Family by Making Art Together

Reconnect with your family through a week full of art making in a beautiful natural setting. Spend Sunday through Saturday with other families creating art, enjoying the outdoors and making new friends. Mornings are devoted to art making with a range of classes available for children nine and older. Younger children participate in a multi-arts experience designed just for them and taught by a former Art Institute of Chicago instructor. Classes available in previous years have included printmaking, watercolor, pastel, glass mosaic, sketching, pottery and native crafts – but please call for the 2006 list of specific classes. Instructors are selected from among Northern Wisconsin’s thriving artistic community. Afternoons will find families enjoying a wide range of activities together from kayaking and swimming to more art making. In the evening everyone pitches in to create the entertainment for our Friday night closing gala.

Fees for instruction will vary depending on individual course selection. Fees in the past have been $120 for adults and older children and $150 for the young children’s programs. Lodging and meal fees vary based on individual family size and choice of accommodations. Information packets detailing course schedules and fees will be mailed to registering families.
